The County of Simcoe, City of Barrie, Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board, Georgian College and the Economic Development Corporation of North Simcoe have partnered to host 2 Women in Manufacturing events to highlight the opportunities and career paths that are available in manufacturing and to inspire women to pursue careers in manufacturing.

Local industry leaders will share their experiences as part of this celebration of local women who work in manufacturing.

The Women in Manufacturing event is part of the Skills Development Fund program. The fund is a way to address skills development and labour shortages within the manufacturing sector by offering educational opportunities at no cost to the participant.
