Join us at the Simcoe County Skilled Trades Fair on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Georgian College, Midland campus.

Whether you’re a student, parent, job seeker, or simply curious about skilled trades pathways, this is your chance to explore real opportunities, meet industry professionals, and learn from those working in high‑demand fields. This interactive, community‑focused event will feature:

  • Hands‑on employer exhibits
  • Service provider booths
  • Job opportunities
  • Panel discussions with industry experts

Agenda:

Groups Sessions

9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Student Hands on Experiences with the Trades (Open to Students in Grades 9-12)*

3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | Community & Job Seekers (Free Admission & Open to the Public)

Registration is not required for the afternoon Community & Job Seekers session which is open to the public.

*Attendance for the morning session is being organized by the SCDSB and SMCDSB. Students interested in attending the morning session must sign up through their school — attendance is limited, so students unable to attend during the school day are encouraged to attend the evening session.

Panelists will discuss current hiring trends, skills gaps, training pathways, and how emerging workers can align their strengths with industry demands.
